Synopsis: This one credit presentation will center on the history of zinc as a building material from Greco Roman times up to present day and then move into a variety of a common misconceptions, past problems, contemporary applications and detailing.

Describe the basic make-up and process of zinc building products in today’s market.
Understand the number one cause of corrosion in zinc metal and how to stop it.
Describe the basic compatibility issues of zinc with other metals and woods.
Describe why zinc applications are different than other metal applications.
Understand the basic details of zinc roofing and wall applications.
