DESCRIPTION:State of the State \nTuesday\, March 23\, 2020 | 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm | 1 LU \n\nOnline program – registration required for continuing education credit\nDeadline to register is 11:00 am on Tuesday\, March 23rd\nZoom meeting link will be emailed to registrants the morning of the program\n\n\nAIA NC Executive Vice-President\, David Crawford\, Hon. AIA\, will update members on issues happening across the state . He will include a legislative and regulatory update from the 2020 AIANC Legislative Agenda\, as well as overall state issues we can expect to see in 2021. Laura Miller\, AIA of LS3P\, 2021 AIA NC President\, will be on hand to discuss our chapter and what changes\, plans and events are in store for the coming year. \nLearning Objective 1:Participants will hear what the 2021 AIA NC Legislative Agenda will be and will also hear about plans for a digital Legislative Day to be held in Raleigh in the spring and what strategies AIA NC will use to get our message to elected officials.Learning Objective 2:Participants will be briefed on the 2021 economic outlook and what it means for the design and building industry in North Carolina and across the region and nation.Learning Objective 3:Participants will hear from AIA NC Executive Vice President about legislative and regulatory updates from 2020 and what specific issues are of importance for the architecture and construction industry.Learning Objective 4:Participants will hear from the 2021 AIA NC President who will discuss the goals of the state chapter\, especially goals concerning inclusivity and diversity programs being implemented in the state.
