The program will promote understanding and increase knowledge of available system types. This presentation will focus on the evaluation of mass timber project requirements and opportunities\, material selection\, and assembly. Once designed\, mass timber encourages social interaction in new or renovated buildings and benefits the environment.\n\n\nLEARNING OBJECTIVES \n\nParticipants will understand the different mass timber structural systems available to explore for project types\nParticipants will utilize resources for determining maximum allowable spans for each system to layout load bearing elements in floor plans\nParticipants will estimate overall structural depths based on spans required for floor plan layouts\nParticipants will learn the various advantages of combining composite structures and mass timber slabs from start to finish of a project\n\n\n\n\nPRESENTED BY \nCollette Ramirez\, VP/Managing Director\, Lynch Mykins Structural Engineers \nCollette has been helping bring architectural visions to life through structural engineering since 2007. She is passionate about the collaborative process and the thrill of first designing a building on paper\, to then seeing it become part of the built environment. Her diverse portfolio is filled with projects of different sizes and structural systems.\n\n\n\nZOOM REGISTRATIONS ONLY – Register HERE to attend online and receive Zoom link \nIN-PERSON REGISTRATION – REGISTER BELOW \n\nRegister below to attend in-person\nDeadline for in-person registration is Monday\, December 5 at 10:00 am\nLunch will be provided to in-person registrants\nThe program will begin promptly at 12:00 PM\nRegistration begins at 11:30 AM – Please arrive early to allow time for check-in and lunch
