Two (2) people should be able to move it easily. \nMaterial costs should be modest\, if possible. Consider using remnant and/or donated materials as an alternative to spending an excessive amount of money on your prototype. \nDesigns are strongly encouraged to utilize sustainable\, recycled\, or re-purposed materials \nAll design structures must be freestanding \nA member of Triangle Barkitecture staff will be assigned to each team/participant for design coordination and design milestones.\nBuild progress images should be emailed to triangle.barkitecture@gmail.com  by September 6th to ensure event space. \n\n  \nSIGNAGE \n\nParticipants are responsible for submitting a digital file of their signage no later than September 20th \nSignage should include: \n\nYour company logo (if applicable)\nThe name of your design (ALL designs must have a name!)\nInformation about your design to make it more enjoyable for guests and may be valuable for potential buyers (remember this is a FUNDRAISER!)\nAcknowledgement of any vendors or sponsors that contributed to your prototype.\nSignage must be 11”x17” and oriented however best suits\nDesign matters! No text only signage will be allowed.\n\n\n\n  \nDELIVERING YOUR PROTYPE \n\nAll designs must be dropped off at the Center for Architecture & Design at 14 E. Peace St.\, Raleigh on Friday\, October 4th from 4-7PM \nAll designs will become the property of Hope Animal Rescue upon delivery to be used during the silent auction during the event. No exceptions. \nSpecial consideration may be made for day of event delivery by contacting triangle.barkitecture@gmail.com. Design must be delivered by 12PM at the event site if approved by Triangle Barkitecture staff beforehand.\n\n  \nEXHIBITION SPACE \n\nSPACE IS LIMITED! Communicate all exhibition space design ideas to Barkitecture staff to ensure proper space is given to display and move around the space.\nYour prototype will be on grass or pavement depending on the number of entries to display. If you want your exhibit to rest on another surface (like a rug/pallet/piece of plastic grass) provide this item during your delivery or setup\nParticipants are encouraged to bring ‘props’ and other items that will enhance the ‘staging’ of your design (you can set up an exhibit or installation that includes a water bowl\, plants\, etc.) but please be tasteful and mindful of not creating litter.\nThink of your prototype and space as an INTERACTIVE ART INSTALLATION – an exhibit in itself! Make sure your space is always kept tidy.\nDoggy accidents happen! Be prepared for these accidents!\n\n  \nAWARDS CATEGORIES \n\nTOP DOG – Best in show as chosen by our panel of judges\nGREENEST PAW – Awarded to most sustainable design through clever use of materials and green design strategies as chosen by our panel of judges\nCRAZIEST CAT – awarded to the most unique design that challenges the idea of what pet architecture is in new and innovative ways as chosen by our panel of judges.\nPEOPLE’S CHOICE – Award based on the number of likes\, shares\, and comments on photos of your design featured on our Facebook and Instagram Accounts during the event\nGRAPHIC BARK – Best Signage as chosen by our panel of judges based off the graphics design and information included about your build\n\n Awards will be announced at 6pm on Saturday\, October 5th with winners receiving a coveted Barkitecture trophy! \n  \nSILENT AUCTION \nThroughout the event\, a table will be set up for bidding on all the designs\, with all proceeds going to Hope Animal Rescue \nParticipants are able and encouraged to bid on their own designs as well \nWinning bids will be collected on site by Hope Animal Rescue\, and arrangements must be made to transport the design at that time \n  \nREGISTRATION \n\nAll teams must register for the competition online \nRegistration Fees: Students ($20) | Individuals ($35) | Team – typically 3-5 members ($70)\nBarkitecture Triangle reserves the right to not exhibit any prototypes which are submitted for any reason\, including incompleteness\, safety issues\, or offensiveness. \n\n For any additional questions\, please contact: \nTriangle Barkitecture at triangle.barkitecture@gmail.com
