Davie Street | Raleigh\, NC\n\n\n\n\n\nINFO AND REGISTRATION HERE\n\n\n\n\n\nHector Barroso\, Taller Hector Barroso (Mexico City)\n\n\nHéctor Barroso Riba\, (1982) studied at the Universidad Anáhuac México Campus Norte (Huixquilucandirige\, México). In 2018\, he has received the silver medal from the College of Architects of Mexico City and the Society of Mexican Architects (CAM-SAM); In May\, he won the gold medal at the Second Biennial of Young Architects organized by the Federation of Colleges of Architects of the Mexican Republic. Since 2010 he has directed a studio that seeks to generate architectural proposals that manage to merge with their surroundings\, taking advantage of the natural resources of each place: the influence of light and shadows\, the surrounding vegetation\, the composition of the earth and the geography. Thanks to this\, the projects merge in harmony with the environment that surrounds them\, creating spaces that emphasize the livable quality of the architecture. Veracruz 69 Int. In her twenty-year career she has led projects in architecture\, urban revitalization\, community / large scale master planning\, infrastructure upgrading\, urban policy and neighborhood development.  Through leadership roles in urban design & development initiatives funded by the United Nations\, Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the NYC Mayors Office she has excelled in managing multidisciplinary teams towards the planning\, design and implementation of projects supporting racial\, social\, and cultural equity.  As the founding Director of Creative Urban Alchemy LLC she is a highly sought-after consultant for city governments\, developers\, and civic institutions on community design\, regenerative placemaking and the equitable transformation of urban space. \nShe serves on advisory boards for the Mayor of Helsingborg\, Sweden H22 Smart City Initiative\, Association for Community Design\, the New York State Energy Research & Development Agency\, the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and is a member of the Dark Matter University network and a founding member of the BlackSpace Urbanist Collective. Davie Street | Raleigh\, NC\n\n\n\n\n\nINFO AND REGISTRATION HERE\n\n\n\n\n\nNeeraj Bhatia\, Architect\, The Open Workshop\n\n\nNEERAJ BHATIA is a licensed architect and urban designer whose work resides at the intersection of politics and architecture. Neeraj is founder of THE OPEN WORKSHOP\, a transcalar design-research office examining the negotiation between architecture\, territory\, and collectivity. Select distinctions include the Architectural League Young Architects Prize\, Emerging Leaders Award from Design Intelligence\, and the Canadian Prix de Rome. He is an Associate Professor at the California College of the Arts where he also Directs the urbanism research lab\, the Urban Works Agency. Bhatia has also held teaching positions at UC Berkeley (as the visiting Esherick Professor)\, UT Arlington (as the visiting Ralph Hawkins Professor)\, Cornell University\, Rice University (As the Wortham Fellow)\, and the University of Toronto. He is co-editor of books Bracket [Takes Action]\, The Petropolis of Tomorrow\, Bracket [Goes Soft]\, Arium: Weather + Architecture\, and co-author of Pamphlet Architecture 30: Coupling — Strategies for Infrastructural Opportunism and New Investigations in Collective Form.
