The first 20 registrants are welcome to join us for an in-person tour of the Duke Catholic Center’s Falcone-Arena House. This tour will be led by Ellen Cassilly, FAIA, Founder of Ellen Cassilly Architects and Father Michael Martin, O.F.M. Duke University, Director of Catholic Campus Ministry.

Ellen Cassilly has over 35 years of experience and founded her studio, Ellen Cassilly Architects, in 1999. Their projects have contributed to the vibrancy of Durham’s renaissance from Fullsteam Brewery, Parker and Otis, and Grub, to the Kress condominiums and the pavilion in Durham Central Park. Ellen’s personal home Cassilhaus was highlighted in the NYT in 209. In 2018 Ellen was elevated to a Fellow of the AIA.
Father Michael Martin, O.F.M | Duke University Director of Catholic Campus Ministry
Fr. Michael Martin, O.F.M. Conv was named Director of the Duke Catholic Center in August 2010. he has held a variety of teaching, coaching and administrative positions since his ordination in 1989 including an adjunct faculty position at Xavier University in Cincinnati. He has served on a number of boards and commissions and is a highlighted presenter on strategic issues facing Catholic schools today and the important role of advancement in sustaining the mission of Catholic education. In 2007 he received the Pro Eccelsia et Pontifice medal for service to the Church from Pope Benedict XVI.
