Light plays a crucial role in defining how we experience the built environment. Yet, “good” lighting can seem difficult to achieve behind formulaic principles and technical jargon. This course seeks to demystify lighting techniques and give frameworks for approaching different aspects of lighting design. We’ll also introduce a few tips that can be used as tools to help attain a well-designed project that inspires.

Justin’s journey into lighting design began with his experience and love for landscape photography. He credits photography with initiating his appreciation and understanding of light. With a background in electrical engineering study, his blend of creative and technical training creates his innovative approach to lighting design. |
