Looking to avoid costly redesigns, expedite packages, and improve coordination with your engineering team? This program will help you understand principles of engineering design to help you better anticipate systems requirements in the SD phase.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Participants will recognize the benefits of engineers and architects working together early in the design process to provide the most efficient and economical systems for building design
- Participants will integrate basic concepts of MEP systems requirements to inform building design and planning, as well as determine key questions to ask during the design process
- Participants will be able to integrate basic concepts of structural and civil design principles to inform building design and planning, as well as determine key questions to ask during the design process
- Participants will discover how current engineering trends and availability—both systems and materials, are affecting design processes and construction outcomes
