A shuttle service will be provided from the parking lot located at 1235 Wicker Drive. See PARKING MAP HERE for pick up and drop off 

Shuttle service from the parking lot at 1235 Wicker Drive begins at 3:30 PM. Additional parking is available at 1249 Wicker Drive (board shuttle at 1235 Wicker Drive lot)

The tour begins promptly at 4:00 PM and ends at 5:00 PM. Meeting point is “The Stacks” at the Red Pergola

The social at Lynwood Brewing Concern will be held from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Anne Stoddard and McKenzie Wilson of Grubb Ventures will provide a tour of one of Raleigh’s newest mixed-use developments along Capital Boulevard. They will define the entire development process, including land acquisition and design development strategy, construction, and leasing. The tour will also include participants from the Design Firms responsible for the implementation of Raleigh Iron Works. Lindsey Kretchman from the Raleigh architecture firm Cline Design Associates will describe the firm’s design process on The Forge mixed use multifamily building and its integration into the Raleigh Iron Works development.
After the tour, join the Women in Architecture for a networking social at Lynwood Brewing Concern located at Dock 1053, 1053 E. Whitaker Mill Road, Raleigh, NC 27604. Plan to carpool with fellow participants since parking is limited at Lynwood Brewing Concern.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Participants will discover the entire development process, including land acquisition and development strategies for mixed use project. 
 
Participants will assess design strategies to include mixed use of residential, retail, and commercial space and how they achieved their rethink, rebuild, renew goals
 
Participants will assess the unique challenges of this site and how it transformed Raleigh Ironworks into an imaginative and vibrant mixed-use development.
 
Participants will discover applied knowledge on future mixed-use projects focusing on infill development and insights on lease and retail tenants.
