As our businesses, offices, schools and other facilities begin to open, there are recommendations by the CDC, OSHA and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) on how the building operations and building systems should be prepared prior to safely occupying these buildings and facilities.

This presentation will discuss various aspects of brick veneer design. This program will discuss proper brick veneer detailing topics including wall types, flashing, and weepholes, expansion/control joints, corbelling and mortar joint types. We will address ASTM specifications for brick and mortar, recommended materials for flashing and wall ties, and project specification recommendations for lump sum mason, sample panels, and hot and cold weather.
The Clancy & Theys Construction and Little Diversified Architecture project team will provide a virtual walk through of the 421 N Harrington office building project, discussing key design and construction elements of the project and providing a look at the model of the future office of Clancy & Theys.

Program will provide participants with information to be able to assess and evaluate how mold and moisture can impact planning and design in buildings, how to identify it, and how to manage it. Participants will understand indoor air quality assessment, including mold, and how it may impact projects during the planning and design phase for either renovation or new construction projects.
