NAWIC Triangle Chapter and Women in Architecture of the AIA Triangle are joining forces once again for an eye opening and no-holds-barred discussion on gender in the workplace. We have exciting panelists of men and women in different parts of the construction industry who will be sharing their stories and the hard truths about how their gender has affected their careers and how they view others in the industry.
AIA North Carolina Executive Vice-President, David Crawford, Hon. AIA, will update members on issues happening across the state. Dave will include a legislative and regulatory update as well as overall state issues we can expect to see in 2022. Matthew Hart, AIA, AIA NC President, will be on hand to discuss our chapter and what changes, plans and events are in store for the coming year.

Join Building Enclosure Council Research Triangle for a presentation on the four major control layers of the building enclosure. Joseph Anetrella will explain the mechanisms of heat, air, bulk water and vapor and how they transport through building assemblies. This discussion will cover the importance of air barriers and continuous insulation as well as common installation challenges seen in the field. He will also present key strategies for achieving durable, energy-efficient, and thermally comfortable wall, roof and below grade assemblies.
