The AIA Triangle Design Awards recognizes excellence in architectural design throughout the Triangle area.
Join AIAT and LP Building Solutions for a Lunch and Learn on Creating a Virtuous Cycle. This CE course will discuss the comprehensive benefits of carbon negative building products. Participants will learn why carbon negative building products are more than just a nice-to-have.
Earn 4 AIA HSW at this Commercial Accessibility CE Seminar! The program will review the most common items that are missed in design and construction resulting in violations of accessibility requirements from the federal agency that develops and enforces it. Participants will develop an understanding of what federal inspectors and attorneys will be focusing on in their inspections of residential (Fair Housing Act Accessibility Guidelines) and Commercial (2010 ADA Standards), as well as develop an understanding of what changes can be anticipated in state and federal accessibility requirements and when these changes will go into effect.
Earn 7.5 AIA HSW Credits at this Multi-Family Accessibility Continuing Education Seminar. Program will include requirements that impact multi-family housing accessibility, as found in the Fair Housing Accessibility Guidelines, the 2018 NC Building Code and its Accessibility Standard A117.1 – 2009, the 2010 ADA Standards and new safe harbor standards approved by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for compliance with the Federal Fair Housing Act Accessibility Guidelines.
Join WIA for an evening of wellness and connection at our upcoming event: Breathe & Build (Your Network). We are excited to offer a one-hour yoga session led by Kara McCormack, a 200-Hour YTT Certified Instructor. We will move gently through a grounding exercise, a simple breath practice, and a beginner-friendly yoga flow/stretch. No prior yoga experience is required. The session will be followed by networking and refreshments.
