In this program, we will discuss the qualities and characteristics of resilient and adaptable design strategies, help participants understand the relationship between hazards, vulnerability, and risk, be able to describe adaptation design strategies that can be employed to reduce climate change impacts on buildings and identify hazard mitigation retrofit strategies to reduce potential damage.
Join EP/YAF for a virtual hard hat tour through the construction of a residence by Szostak Design at lunchtime on June 30th. Located amongst modern icons in the Runnymede Rd area of Raleigh, Szostak Design will present the design and details of the nearly-completed residence. As with all EP|YAF events, everyone is welcome! So don’t forget your safety glasses and reflection vests as you join us for this unique virtual hard hat tour! Hard hats optional.
