This is an introductory lighting design class that will familiarize you with the basic concepts of good lighting design.
Architects want to know what new innovations and techniques exist in the structural steel industry and how they can be applied to express their designs, overcome client serviceability and safety concerns while optimizing budget and schedule. Participants in this program will learn about sustainable and efficient framing systems, methods and practices which make steel the material of choice for any project, no matter the size, shape or end use.
This program walks through various coatings, slurries, broadcasts, and trowel applied flooring systems. Emphasis is provided on surface preparation and installation requirements. Industrial and decorative systems are outlined including benefits, limitations and type of areas for installations.
The AIA North Carolina State of the State Address covers an overview and projections for the architecture and construction industry, both nationally and statewide. This updated version will cover current circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact and projected impact. Includes a presentation from AIA North Carolina President, AIA North Carolina Executive Vice President, and NC Board of Architecture Executive Director.
