WE’RE HERE TO HELP

The AIA Triangle leadership and staff are here to support you through every stage of your career. Below are a few great ways to jump start your career as an architect.

JOIN A COMMUNITY

YOUNG ARCHITECT FORUM (YAF)

On a local level, AIA Triangle’s Young Architect Forum (YAF) is a leadership development program of the AIA College of Fellows. It focuses on professional development, leadership, personal growth, and other important subjects relevant to young professionals and interns early in their career. The AIA Triangle YAF provides various outlets and activities, both professional and social where young architects (those licensed less than 10 years) can get together and discuss topics of interest and provides a network within the architectural community to tackle issues that concern them.

LEADERSHIP FORUM

AIA Triangle’s Leadership Forum provides access to a variety of speakers, design firms and activities for a select annual class of local Emerging Professionals. In lieu of other one-on-one mentorship models, this collaborative learning program design works to cross-strengthen the entire class through pooled resources and reflective practice.

The AIA Triangle Leadership Forum connects a select group of area Emerging Professionals (unlicensed members and those licensed less than 10 years) with top leaders and architectural firms across the Triangle.

The program consists of a curated series of events designed to create an open dialogue between established architect-leaders and participating emerging professionals. Through conversations, panel discussions, workshops, and office/job-site tours, the Leadership Forum helps facilitate the passage of knowledge across generational and hierarchical gaps.
